New year, new experiences

Starting off with a trip to the medics to deal with a scalpel-related accident! No permanent harm, just some medical grade super glue and a fascinating conversation with the nurse about the variant uses of superglue! Starting off '24 with a bang, as it were.

Ghosties

These have been a solid grind over the break but pending a last run of highlights now slightly delayed by said earlier stupidity but they've come up really well and I'm super pleased with the results. Two full hordes of Bloodworms or Svcarecrows (probably Bloodworms) will be a nice change from the glass cannon Reapers I've been using in KoW up until now.

I'm doing a bit of a rejig of the army to account for some of the changes in the last Clash of Kings to rebase some Ghosties into new units and to fix the fact that I put some of my LgInf on the wrong sized base...

 2024 Plans

This time of year I normally sit down and have a think about what's on the block for the year. I figure it's some painting projects and some gaming projects:

Painting:

  • Finish my 15mm Renaissance Spanish
  • Clear the 40K blacklog:
    • Deathwatch and Space Marine Combat Patrols
    • Inquisition and second Breacher Kill Teams
    • Maybe get an Arbites squad and paint that....
  • Start (and maybe finish) a Tomb Kings KoW army
  • Clear the Flames backlog:
    • Sheridans for 7 Days to the River Rhine
    • Volksgrenadier Heavy Mortars
    • Repaint my Early War Germans

Gaming:

  • Play some full size 40K games
  • Play more ADLG
  • Play some 7DttRR
  • Play more Kill Team

Next Time
Well, stupid injuries will slow progress. I've booked in a Kings of War game with Blogger Tank in a couple of weeks so hoping to have that whole army redone and rebased for that.

McZ's Recap and Plans for 2023

As we enter into fourth go at March 2020, it's always fun to reflect back on what got done in our third attempt. I really did paint and play all sorts of stuff - more Flames than anything else, I think, but also ADLG, Seven Days, Star Wars Legion, Warhammer Underworlds, Warmachine Mark IV, Silver Bayonet, Victory at Sea and goodness knows what else. It was a real mishmash and that's great!

I'm really glad we picked up Underworlds - it's a really fun game and given that we have the ability to play most of the warbands that exist in the universe so far it's been a lot of fun. It's a great little light game that, since we're only playing with Rivals decks, is much more manageable and much less serious than playing it with hardcore decks.

Like Pooch, I wish we'd made time to play more Titanicus and Necromunda but maybe those are gaps we can definitely fill in 2023. We still haven't sent our Warmasters into combat yet...

My model of the year!

What does 2023 hold?

Mostly? Finishing things before starting anything else...

On the list of things to finish:

  • a LW Jagdpanther company for Flames of War
  • Some Jagdtigers for my LW Grenadiers
  • My Renaissance Spanish for ADLG-R
  • A squad of Imperial Guard Stormtroopers
  • Half a dozen Necromunda models
  • A miscellany of 28mm models for Silver Bayonet, Draculas America, DnD and various other things

 Anything new?

They say that history repeats and I have rather enjoyed McBeth, Pooch, Scotty and clubmate BB talking about 100 Years War as an excuse for a new 28mm ADLG army and poking through the book at other armies of the period, I am sorely tempted by Low Countries. It was the second army I did in 15mm way back when I played DBM and I think I'd like another go at it. I've even dug out the original flag files from 20 years ago and while I'd have to draw and hand-paint them (as they're very pixellated...) I reckon that could be a lot of fun.

Secondly, I'm going to try two new games in '23 - Kill Team and Xenos Rampant. 40K has become too bloated and too changeable for me to keep up with (curse this perpetual magpie-ism!!) and I'm not inclined for the competitive scene which would make me keep up BUT I have all these models and I think I'd like to use them. Kill Team just looks like a lot of fun and will fill that same role as Underworlds as a quick game that can get a few run throughs in gaming time. XR looks like a solid, 2nd-edition-40K-sized game as well that would allow me to really just enjoy painting and playing with cool models and not worrying about codex-creep and more special rules than I can follow.

What else am I looking forward to?

At some point in '23 I'll be running a DnD campaign for my nerd friends that takes place in one of my three favourite DnD settings, Spelljammer (we've done Ravenloft and one day, one day we'll get to Dark Sun)! It'll slot into where we are at with Storm Kings Thunder weirdly nicely and I'm really looking forward to the motley crew getting completely baffled by ships in space.

But also with an ounce of pragmatism

There's a lot of changes at Casa del McZ at the mo and I've decided that despite managing to post a blog almost every week since 2018 (when I started painting my AC-130 for TY), I might have to let a few slide in the next few weeks just because I have other commitments and that's okay.

Next Time

Something - it might even be worth the wait.

Pooch's 2022 recap, and plan for 2023....

Well, 2022 is now done. And that was.... a year.

Before we get into the plan for 2023, some reflections on the year.

Recap of 2022

What am I happiest I painted or played?

I think this has to go to the two tables of terrain I finished, one for Silver Bayonet and one for 28mm moderns. Both included new techniques, lots of creativity and effort to get done, and coming from someone who hasn't really liked doing terrain in the past, it was great to actually be excited about making them!

My progress on the DAK would have to be the best miniatures I have painted this year...

It's quite a lot of desert yellow- and far from everything I own!

What am I proudest to have painted?

Tough question, I mean, I'm stoked with the airbrush painting on the terrain, the fact that I have actually finished a bunch of things, and have generally managed to make solid progress on a number of fronts, but I think the models I am happiest with are actually the 15mm Shermans, because they involved a lot of different techniques that worked out really, really well on those models.

What game did I enjoy the most?

Now this is an unanswerable question. Silver Bayonet? Warhammer Underworlds? good ol' Flames?

What did I miss out on in 2022?

I think this would go to the games that I didn't manage to play this year (like Titanicus, or Necromunda, etc etc), and for only having played one game of Marvel Crisis Protocol. It was super duper fun, and I'm looking forward to playing more of that in 2023!

And from a painting perspective… it’s not like the pile of "to paint" has gotten any smaller in 2022 I think....

Plan for 2023

Alrighty, so what's the plan for 2023 then? Well, mostly consistent with 2022 as it turns out.

So for each month, I am going to set myself the challenge to finish:

1. Paint a platoon for Flames of War

I have still got more DAK to finish, but I also have my late war US tanks which need to be painted too.

And then who knows?

2. Add something to armies I have already painted

This worked out pretty well last year as a goal, so I will maintain it for this year. If only to keep working through my excessive backlog!

ADLG-R, more Warhammer Underworlds, and maybe a Marvel Crisis Protocol miniature each month? Who knows!

3. Finish up a piece of terrain

This was probably the most influential goal I made last year, and so I am committed to keeping it up!

In terms of what to expect, I have a bunch of 4ground Wild West terrain, plus a whole 15mm Vietnam table to do..... so we will see!

4. Play a game a month, that was different to the last month

Keeping this one as is, because it's a great goal to have!

5. Paint a Hundred Years War French Army for ADLG

So the genuinely new goal for the year. I would like to paint up a Hundred Years War French army, using the brilliant miniatures from Perry Miniatures. I'm going to go pretty stereotypical for them, so expect to see Crossbowmen, heavy knights, peasants and of course, Joan of Arc!

So cool!

Now, to make it easy on myself, and to encourage myself to do my best painting, I'll split this big goal into two sub-goals, namely:

  1. Paint one base for ADLG- doesn't matter what kind, but matters that the base gets painted!
  2. Paint one Knight for ADLG- just one, but this should keep me from going insane from painting fleur-de-lys, and encouraging me to give it my best painting effort!

So there you have it, the goals for 2023 are now set, I'd better get cracking!

GET. PAINTING.

Trying to get some focus

So the year is half gone and I've got stuff all over the place that I've started and I really want to knock on the head. The to-do pile is getting noticeably smaller (I can nearly fit the whole thing on my painting desk!) but I'm not sure where I'm starting or what I'm doing with it so I figured I full catalogue of all the things would help me scope it and get to work on it since the best motivator is making a list.  But before we start on the list, I might have painted the last thing on it: a Beholder for Dungeons and Dragons.

Readers who are in my regular RPG group might wonder why and my answer is no reason. No reason at all....

Small Stuff

ADLG-R

Early days yet but I have managed a couple of the mounted General bases and will probably have to get into the Tercios ASAP.

To do:
  • 1 Tercio 2 Tercios
  • 4 Gendarmes
  • 3 Caracoling Pistoliers
  • 1 General
  • 3 LH and 2 Medium Cav Mounted Arquebusiers
And at some point I'll get the last little bit of the list, a Landsknecht Kiel and some baggage!

Flames of War / TY

This is looking much better, but with the release of the Flames of War Bulge book, it's likely to expand again once I can make a dent in the larger pile.

To do:

  • Greatcoat Grenadier platoon
  • SdKfz250 transports for one of about three or four Aufklarungs lists I want to run
  • Two AH-1 Cobra Attack Helicopters

Big Stuff

Silver Bayonet

This one is easy although I'm currently trying to resist the urge to buy a whole new French collection with some Perry French Camelry...

To dos:

  • Monsters: Changeling, Living Armour, Ghosts
  • 4 more Frenchmen

40K

To dos:

  • 3 miscellaneous Deathwatch models (a Terminator, a Firstborn Marine and an Outrider)
  • 10 Tempestus Scions
  • Imperial Priest
  • Another (!) Inquisitor
  • 5 Grey Knight Terminators (that I still haven't gotten the paint off!)

I'm also expecting the release of the 9e Imperial Guard Codex some time in the next couple of months so that'll probably add a few new things to the pile as well.

Necromunda

I'm keen to get back into some Necromunda later this year and I have a few bits and bobs to finish for that. One of the Gangers still needs building as I've been in a fight with a Forgeworld sawnoff for ages...

To dos:

  • 3 Redemptionists
  • 2 Cawdor Gangers
  • Stig Shambler

Kings of War

I probably just need to organise a game or two with a few weeks notice so I get off my butt and base my Ghosties army!  I know what I want to do, I just have to do it.

Miscellany

I've got a bunch of 28mm stuff sitting around for various things and reasons that I will eventually use for things and reasons...

To dos:

  • 11 random DnD characters for my limited palette set
  • 3 old Malifaux models for DracAm
  • 2 random Warmachine models I just want to paint
  • 2 mounted Elves - a Silver Helm and a Hero
  • Ogre Mage
  • Ogre
  • 1 Great Eagle
  • 1 Beholder

So there's a lot to do for the rest of the year but I thought that documenting this pile would give me a the impetus to clear the deck. Let's see how we go eh?

Next Time

Some things off this list eh? I'd like to call back to this at the end of the year having struck through everything on this list and a few other things as well.

Pooch's goals for 2022

2021 was a frankly insane year on the work front and having small, achievable goals helped me to keep up with my hobby time- a thing that does help keep me sane(ish) when things like work are going insane. With 2022 looking to be much the same, it's time to share my plans, schemes and goals for 2022....

1. Paint a platoon of DAK each month

I have a whole lot of DAK to paint- panzer IIIs, panzer IVs, artillery, reconnaisance and anti-tank guns which all need to get painted. The plan is to take them to Panzershrek this year, so I'd best get painting, and I figure working through a platoon each month will help it not get on top of me, while still keeping up making good progress into getting them painted.

2. Add something to armies I have already painted

I always have things that I want to add to armies that I have already got- an extra Titan here, another unit of Sisters there. Maybe another unit of Droids?

So, I've resolved to get something in this category painted each month, to keep making progress on different pieces that I already own, and maybe give me an excuse to paint a few new things.

3. Finish up a table of terrain

Last year saw me complete a Frostgrave table, and the year before was a FOW/TY desert table and a Wild West table. And given I've still got at least two tables of terrain downstairs that I have yet to build, I really need to keep this goal so I get onto them!

4. Play a game a month, that was different to the last month

This goal was one of my favourites from last year, so it had to come back again. I have however made it a wee bit more difficult, with the goal to help me play and enjoy more of the different games that I have armies for- especially those which I have put a whole lot of recent work into.

5. Paint a new historical army

I've got two armies planned for this one- a 6mm ACW Union force, and a 15mm ADLG Renaissance army.

And that's it, five goals, 12 months to achieve them. Wish me luck!

5 new goals.... get cracking!

Lockdown projects

So.

Level 4 COVID-19 Lockdown. Time for projects!

I started with something a little absurd. While I was in Japan last year, I picked up a boxed model of the Space Battleship Yamato. I've always figured that I'd have a model ship on a mantlepiece at some point. Now I have the model ship, I just need the mantlepiece.

This took me most of a day to assemble but I think I glued in no more than about two dozen parts and most of those were gun barrels! It still needs painting, but I don't know what that's going to look like at this point. A pin wash and the decking timber is about as far as I've got so far. Once I get some batteries for the internal LEDs too, bits of it will light up!
Space Battleship Yamato 2202
The other thing I've finished up this week was a classic GW Stone Troll. I picked him up for my Orc Warband in Mordheim (yep, it's that old) and finally got him done. He's been in the box of shame for a while as I don't think there's anything sensible I can use him for in Frostgrave. Potentially he'll have a role in a Kings of War: Vanguard warband though.
Troll throw rock!
Next Time
It's going to be workbenches and finished painting things for the foreseeable future. We've got 3.5 more weeks of lockdown and we'll see where that leaves the country. But I've finally started on finishing up the last knights for my KoW army, I've got some Elven Cavalry to get done for Kings of War: Vanguard and some Aussies. That I still haven't finished. I know.

Pooch's goals for 2020

Well, 2019 is done and with the success of keeping some sort of record of what I was doing, I'm going to do it again this year.

So what are the 12 goals then?

1. Paint a Kings of War Army

The rest of the guys have got, or are working towards a Kings of War army. Now that I have two fully completed 40k armies, it only makes sense for me to make my long term project for the year completing a cool as fantasy army. I have an evil scheme, but you will have to wait till the end of January to find out what!

2. Create a table of terrain to support a game

I need to get better at having terrain. Therefore I am carrying this one over from last year so that I keep making more.

3. Complete the 6mm Apocalypse Challenge

McZ has already laid down the rules for this one, and I actually have my first.... 4 months prepped I think?

Since McZ has shown what he is aiming for in the first month, seems rude to not do the same?

4 Leman Russ. Because... it's Apocalypse, and they are awesome.

4. Run a narrative campaign for the group

We had an absolute blast playing in the 40k narrative campaign, and importantly for me, it got me out playing games. So, I want to do that too!

There are a few options, Dracula's America could be cool, as would the Walking Dead or Necromunda. Watch this space!

5. Add a new detachment to one of my 40k armies

Don't know what this will be, but I do know there are lots of cool things dropping for 40k at the moment, so I am making sure I have some flexibility to add to the armies I already have....

6. Buy a starter box and paint all of it

That one was fun this year- let's do it again!

7. Paint a Space Marine Heroes Series

"But Pooch..." I hear you cry, "...you didn't like painting Storm Lords".

Apparently finishing them gave me a new perspective. There are two other series of Space Marine Heroes, one comprised of Terminators, one comprised of Death Guard. Not sure which I will do, because both of them are pretty awesome. This one won't be a monthly challenge this time however!

8. Update a 15mm Napoleonic army for Blackpowder

A couple of us at the club have large 15mm Napoleonic armies, which haven't been used in a year or so. We had a test game of 15mm Blackpowder, and it was really enjoyable- so much so that I am keen to add the extra models and things I need to complete my armies for it. It's mostly command stands and things. It'll either be French or British- not sure which.

9. Paint a stand alone force

There is something really nice about having a force that is done. No more units to add, no more organic growth (so the exact opposite of my Krieg army). I'd like to do another of these, and perhaps use them as a painting experiment with new techniques?

10. Update and improve a table of terrain

Again with the terrain. I need more terrain, because terrain makes tables look cool. Simple as that!

11. Play a game each month, and share a photo of it

The bulk of my hobby time is in painting and modelling- but I enjoy the gaming side of things too. So I'd like to do more of that, and putting it on this list will help me stay on track.

12. Finish what I should have finished last year

Believe it or not, there were still things from last year that I didn't manage to get done, for a variety of reasons. So, I want to get them done!

And that's it!

Plan for what is difficult while it is easy...

...do what is great while it is small - Sun Tzu

I wasn't that organised for club day today and it was all a bit random! I wound up having a test game against Tank for our club end of year event in a few weeks - mostly for us to try out a list each for Late War Flames of War - something we haven't played in ages. I planned to blog it but forgot to take any photos and, as it turned out, that was a happy accident. Suffice to say that Tank's dice were simply appalling and while he fought bravely, his Shermans went down to my StuGs in a bit of a screaming heap.

So instead, I watched some games of Black Seas (and it does look fun but no! I will resist!) and played another hilarious game of Aeronautica Imperialis. We played a both sides "bomber escort"game and both sides singularly failed to protect their bombers. The Orks got exceedingly close to their target but didn't quite make it.

But I did finish something!

I got the Squat rebased on a Necromunda base and finished up the details and highlights. He looks pretty good and was a lot of fun to paint. Victoria Miniatures does make some lovely models indeed.

Planning for 2020
Having said that, because I haven't been painting all that much lately, I decided to try and do something else productive instead. I've been thinking about what I'm going to do in 2020 and decided that step one was to find all my part-completed projects and maintenance and clear those out before I go down any more rabbit holes. And this is what that looks like:
That's covering....most of a 6x4

But McZ, you say, a lot of that looks painted. Yes, dear reader, it is. But much of it needs some serious TLC. The basing and transfers on my 653 Schwere Panzerjager Abteilung needs work and there are a lot of repairs that need doing to my StuG Abteilung. And small numbers of bases that need redoing in my Sperrverbande will also get me up to full size Grenadier platoons. And I'd like to finish tidying up my Pacific War Australians and play them in MW. There's knights that need finishing for KoW, Deathwatch to do and some cars to take on Gaslands in 2020 as well.

That's not even all of it either. I've got some terrain inbound to add some more scatter to my Infinity board and some more elevation on my FoW board. I've promised myself I'll clear out the drawer of shame and find homes for all that too.

I've enjoyed Pooch's model of setting himself a bunch of tasks and completing them over the year. I think I'll try the same with the projects - I'm thinking I can package up all of these into groups and try and finish one a month in amongst gaming and RPGing.

Next Time
Some actual content. That isn't me just pontificating. Promise.

Pooch's October update

Not entirely sure how another month has already gone past.... but there it is. Did I paint things?

You bet I did!

1. Paint a new 40k army (On track)
Since I finished the last of the infantry last month, this month was the first batch of tanks. I have.... many tanks to get through!

This batch of tanks includes two of the old metal Griffon tanks, recrewed with Death Korps mortar gunners. I got them cheap off the local trading facebook page, which I was super stoked with. The Griffon itself is basically awful, but the model totally suited the trench warfare aesthetic. Likely these will be used as Wyverns in game terms.
Looking cool!

And a better shot of the internal with the crew and stowage
But that's not it.

One of the weirder things that Forgeworld have produced is the Cyclops demolition vehicle. Simply put, it is a wee little remote controlled bomb, which hoons around and then blows up, like the Goliath or Bogward demolition carriers used by the Germans in WW2. I got it into my head that it was ideal that I had some for my trench warfare army, and what better to use as one than actually using a goliath?

Brooom broom BOOM!

A better shot to show the scenic bases
2. Create a table of terrain to support a game (Completed)

3. Make a modular piece of terrain (Not Done)
Errr.... still not done.... guess I had better hurry up with this given I have a couple of months to go!

4. Paint a naval fleet (Completed)

5. Finish something for an army I haven't used in a year, and take it to a tournament (Completed)

6. Buy a starter box and paint all of it (Completed)

7. Paint every miniature for a game I own (Completed)

8. Paint a Space Marine Hero each month (On track)
No issues here with running close to the end of the month for this guy, and in fact finished two of them!

The first is one of the models from the Space Marine Adventures box, a cool as running figure with bolter slung and knife out. The second is the truly excellent plastic Chaplain figure, a suitably imposing and impressive model to inspire my Storm Lords to victory!

That running pose is so cool!

Slung bolter!
Is that it? Heck no! You might have seen this in McZ's narrative campaign update, but I also made a Drop Pod to kick the Storm Lords out of! So iconic for the Space Marine way of war, and it's a great kit to boot. Even buying it second hand it was nice to paint, and suitably easy to actually paint (flat panel white isn't my forte however).
Doors closed

Doors open! Had to put in the hazard stripes....

9. Paint a stand alone force (Completed)

10. Update and improve a table of terrain (Completed)

11. Paint something Napoleonic (Not done)
Ok, so I need to make some serious progress here too....

12. Finish something I should have last year (Completed)

Mortywatch!
Progress on Morty continues really well, so well in fact that he now has a head, and arms! Next month will be finishing him off. I am REALLY happy with how he is coming together....

Bad photo, great pose

He is biiiiiiiiiiiig

Next month? Finishing Morty! More Krieg tanks! Another Space Marine Hero (or two). I should probably make some progress on the two categories I haven't even started too....

What's on the calendar for 2019?

Following hot on the heels of Pooch, here's my plans for 2019 as I stick to 2018s posting schedule for the last time. I'll clearly have to badger the rest of the crew a bit more as well.

Games to play:
Some more 40K: I really like 8th and I want to play it more. I've found a level of silly that I'm comfortable with and the new missions in 2018 CA look fricking cool. And it would be good to get some Kill Team out again too - probably playing a campaign day with the nerds should get on the cards.

Oh, and I assembled this yesterday as part of my holiday WIPs:
Clank clank, I'm a tank!
TY and FoW: I'm enjoying both and interested to look at some LW lists for FoW. I'd love to break out my beloved (and terrible) 653 Schwerepanzerjager Abteilung but that's going to be a wee wait for a new list. So it will be interesting to see what turns up in the new books. I found all my old beach landing fortifications recently, so those lists might be worth digging out too.

DracAm: Still loving this. It's a great game, lots of fun and is all sorts of silly. Plus it doesn't require painting anything!

Batman: I have all the bits I need now to play and enjoy Batman. And I think I understand how to use Batman effectively in a crew. I think. Whether I can do it or not is a different question. Green Arrow is still something of a mystery.

Games to try:
Kings of War. I have a Teutonic Order army for Impetus that is just plain awful but it would drop into the 'Brotherhood' list for KoW as faux-Bretonnians. Pelarel has recently acquired a fair whack of Mantic Undead so we could have a jolly good match there I think.

Kings of War: Vanguard. As an alternative use for the three Frostgrave warbands I have. It looks like a really interesting game and warrants at least a round or two. Speaking of which, I'd like to go back and play some Frostgrave too. Pel has suggested a couple of really simple amendments that would dial back the amount of insta-death that happens with the odd bad roll.

Cruel Seas. I got a bit ranty when Warlord didn't put Italians into Blood Red Skies but they have redeemed themselves with the Italian fleet in Cruel Seas. Oh, so sexy. And the game doesn't look bad either.

Adeptus Titanicus. Having dug out some old titans and knights, it seems like it'll be worth a go. Should be good for a laugh if nothing else.

Projects

40K:
  • Rogue Trader Kill Team
  • Inquisitors
  • Imperial Guard company for my Ordo Malleus and Ordo Hereticus Inquisition armies
  • Terrain

Team Yankee:
  • More Marines
  • M60s and Humvees
  • Some CH-46s if I can find some for the second Marine platoon to ride in. If anyone knows where I can get some 1:100 scale CH-46s, let me know!

Other:
  • Black Canary and Objectives for Batman
  • A bit of terrain for my 15mm FoW / TY board
  • A Magister Link for Infinity
  • Repainting a bunch of my Malifaux Arcanists for DracAm
  • Some random Elves for expanding my Elven warband for Frostgrave / KoW Vanguard

Blogging
I'm going to try my level best to keep this up. I think I've managed around two dozen posts over the last six months, so 52 shouldn't be too hard. He says, ambitiously.

Next time
Some painted models! Something new and interesting. Promise.

Setting some goals for 2019

Apparently McZ's near-constant reminders of his blogging successes has finally worn me down, and it's time to get myself back into this blogging thing. Perhaps it's not enough sleep after a family holiday. Who knows, but here we are.

Since it's me, these things start with:

  1. A list of things I want to achieve next year, and
  2. setting myself a timeline for doing updates
The plan

Now, onto the plan. Since there are 12 months, it seems appropriate to have 12 goals. So in no particular order:

  1. Paint a new 40k Army
  2. Create a table of terrain to support a game
  3. Make a modular terrain piece
  4. Paint a naval fleet
  5. Finish something for an army I haven't used in a year and take it to a tournament
  6. Buy a starter box and paint all of it
  7. Paint every miniature for a game I own
  8. Paint a Space Marine each month
  9. Paint a stand alone force for a game
  10. Update and improve a table of terrain
  11. Paint something Napoleonic
  12. Finish what I should have finished last year
Without a doubt I will paint more than this, especially since commissions don't count!

I have got a plan for each of them, which will become clear as the year progresses. But to give you a clue on #8 I bought a full blind box of Space Marine Heroes, netting me one of each.

I've got a plan for what Chapter they will be too. Given I am going for one of the more complex chapter colour schemes, I am going to paint one a month to ensure I do a proper job of painting them!

Updates

I'm not game enough to commit to a weekly update like McZ, instead I'm going to go for a much more manageable monthly update schedule.

So that's the plan, look out for the first update in January to see how I am getting on!
